Going down the hills close to Car2, You find these pieces of 'wood' dried up on road side. This is sago palm, here used in binignit. Binignit is a veggie stew in Visayas. The stew is usually cooked and eaten during the Holy Week, especially Good Friday when the Visayans are fasting. It also is a popular afternoon snack. The stew is best served when hot. It is oversweet. Pinoy like sweet.
